斯坦斯特德庆祝返乡，开设沃尔夫之家

 

The day began with a small ceremony commemorating a tree in front of Colby Hall in memory of longtime teacher and advisor Peter Ashworth. Speakers former students and colleagues who remembered Mr. Ashworth,包括 Director of Advancement Jesse 麦克雷, who had Mr. 阿什沃斯的顾问和年鉴主管.

Following the ceremony, alumni registered, mingled and gathered for a barbecue lunch. This was followed by the official opening of Wolfe House, 前校长迈克尔·沃尔夫也在场.

"Like this residence, Mike Wolfe is a solid piece of work," said Mr. 麦克雷, ”声音, 实用, 适度的, deeply immersed in the traditions of the school and filled with Spartan pride."

奥巴马在讲话中说. Wolfe said he was completely overwhelmed, extremely proud and very humbled by the honour.

"I want to be sure that everyone knows that the Wolfe name here is not about me,他说. "It’s about my parents - Elgin and Bev Wolfe - who provided me with every opportunity possible when I was growing up. 我希望他们今天能在这里. "As she will be stepping down after over 20 years here at 边境上大学 I want to tell her again that I love her and let her know how proud I am of her and of her contributions towards the Wolfe legacy here at the school."  

整个下午都是体育活动, starting with senior boys and girls rugby versus Chateauguay Valley Regional, both teams piped onto the field by our own Andrew Blair.

与此同时, 在阿玛隆体育馆看到了一场校友篮球赛, 在帕特·伯恩斯体育馆, former members of the girls hockey team gathered for the first-ever alumnae game.

This was all followed by a reception at the arena lounge.
